Weather Forecast Model GFS Overnight Confusing JOESTRADAMUS
Weather forecast model analysis isn’t easy. It is especially difficult right now as we keep seeing the GFS model do different things that lead you to believe change is coming and then goes right back to the dominant pattern. Last’s nights model run to be completely honest was utterly confusing to me. It seems that the active Pacific jet is now going into high gear which is creating all sorts of instability especially from day 10 onward. To be honest, I don’t really believe what the run did because some of it seems a little far fetched.

You're welcome...Sounds good, looking forward to a few blizzards. I honestly and everyone knows here that I live for blizzards, so I'd be sad weather feen if we don't get at least 30 inches in NYC. Will be back here once something is worth tracking for now I'll just keep checking the models. My dad is a weather meteorologist and he's calling for a big turn around around beginning of January so we'll see! Take care Joe
ToNY thank you so much for the kind words. I actually will be on Saturday on PIX. Im full time on Verizon Fios1 News but you have to have fios in either nj long island or the hudson valley. As to the winter. I honestly dont have a good feel for this winter because of all the things going on between el nino and whether or not the nao strengthens. If it does and el nino weakens then your forecast has a shot. Mine is for a normal winter when you average it out with wild swings. But honestly it is just a guess.
Hi Joe, I am a big fan of your talents. I love weather and I'm a regular here at live weather blogs. Site seems to run well and no unwanted advertising. Nice to meet you by the way I am Tony. Are you still on wb11? Mr.G is good but I think you have more passion for the weather so I'd like to see you more often on it. I have a quick question do you think we get an above average snow winter or below. Here is my thinking. Www.sswlive.wordpress.com
