MAY OUTLOOK 2016

May is coming in cold and snowy in parts of the Southwest with parts of Colorado and New Mexico picking up 6" of snow. The rest of the nation is rather wet but as the month moves on we'll settle into a near normal pattern for precip. Temps will average 1-3 above average for most areas east of Chicago to the larger east coast cities.

LA NINA FOLLOWS

We are coming off a huge El Nino and once we get to June we'll see the larger signals for La Nina and El Nino become neutral. The trend is for a moderate to maybe strong La Nina this winter.
