We are watching the potentisl for some freezing rsin in areas of NY and PA south to Virgina which may cause some slick spots.
Freezing Rain is Rain that falls onto frozen ground and ice up. Anyone under the 32 degree mark this will occur with.
Currently we are seeing this in western pa. Temperatures in Roanoke is 34F and same for lynchburg. I cannot rule out any icing.
Overnight shows issues in NE PA
Temperatures will go from 30s into the 60s by Friday. Yes 60
In the Future
Thru the rest of January we see warmer then normal temps quicky change in February
After the 20th the PNA goes and stays positive
The NAO trends negitive. This is definately a sign we go from warm now to colder and more stormy by late month and early Feburuary
As you can also see the Blocking pattern is more condusive for setting up storms by the turn of the month.
So stay safe and stay snow thirsty my friends.
