While our area remains snow starved particularly areas in Southern Pennsylania and a few others, over the next week central and especially Northern New England will see plenty of snow. Ski areas will continue to be in great shape through next week even though the major storm heading for the Great Lakes brings a brief period of freezing rain and rain. But there will be enough snow on either side of this to keep any damage to a minimum.
This is the GFS snow forecast for the next week and the European snow forecast map is more robust. In fact the European has another snow event for New England later next weekend (rain for us) which shows nearly double these amounts for the 10 day period.
