Weather models continue to show a very active stormy pattern through the first 10 days of April as we continue to see a very strong Pacific Jet move across the Southern United States with a "split flow". The Canadian or northern jet moves along the Canadian border. Storms will be impacting the east every 2 to 3 days. The first one this Friday actually sets up with colder air aloft and this opens the door to some snow for Upstate NY and for Central and Northern New England.
The upper air jet stream pattern sets up for frequent precipitation events. Two systems stand out on Friday's GFS weather model with one in the Ohio Valley and the next one right behind it in the Southwestern US which will follow along next week. Both will produce severe weather events across the south.
