Good evening everyone in New England! A nice stretch of weather will transition into a heavy rain event this week. The rain will work its way slowly out of the mid-atlantic states and arrive in New England late Tuesday into Wednesday. Showers and some storms will be associated with the system. The main threat will be possible flash flooding across the entire region. Expect anywhere from 1.5-3" region wide including all of Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Connecticut. Locally, some areas may see up to 4" of rain. Thankfully drier air will ease its way into New England by Thursday. Temperatures will struggle to get any higher than the low 70's.
