Not much snow accumulation on the ground down here in South Jersey (Washington Twp area). Coating in some spots, I never saw anything sticking to the roads. As I suggested just prior to the storm, the ground was way too warm. Since the temp didn't get much colder than 31° for a few hours last night, that didn't help.
But no matter, we've gotten our first taste of snow for the season. Hopefully this is not the main course, but rather just the appetizer! :)

Jim the cold air came from the strong forcing leading to dynamic cooling. And the dry air being overcome by the precip leading to evaporational cooling. This process did not happen to the west resulting in the warmer temps.
